ABOUT JENNIFER MANN
An award-winning connector, Jennifer L. Mann is the founder and president of JL Mann Consulting, LLC. She brings 25 years of relationships and reputation to your team. Chances are, she already knows the person who can solve your issue.
A former longtime member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and small-business owner, Jenn understands that a good network takes effort, authenticity, and time. Jenn has invested in her network - and opening doors is her specialty.
Whether it’s a CEO, community group, mayor, or state or federal legislator, Jenn represents her clients by going above and beyond the typical lobbying or government relations engagement. Your success matters, and for Jenn, it’s personal.
Her experience as a public servant began in her twenties, first elected to serve her hometown of Allentown and then as a state representative (1998-2012). During this time, Jenn quickly earned a reputation as a skilled facilitator, consensus-builder, and mentor.
In 2008, her colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus elected her to the post of Caucus Secretary, making her only the third woman to serve in a leadership position. Jenn also served on the Pennsylvania Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) Leadership Team and served as chairwoman of the DLC’s State Legislative Advisory Board. During this time, Jenn was named to the DLC’s “100 to Watch” list.
Prior to her time in the state House of Representative, Jenn worked in the private sector – launching a successful wireless telecommunications business in Allentown. She also worked in the financial services industry and still maintains her life, health, and annuity licensing.
Today, Jenn has a unique perspective to share. Her legislative focus on business-friendly economic policies and her time as a business-owner gives her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with entrepreneurship and business leadership. As a skillful connector, she uses this experience and her vast network to think big picture and to connect the dots for her clients and her community.
Jenn is deeply committed to the success of the people and businesses that call the Lehigh Valley home. She currently sits on the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors. Also, in 2015, she was elected to the Board of Directors of QNB Bank, a community bank headquartered in Quakertown, PA with assets of $1.7 billion.
Jenn serves on the board of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation, helping donors with their charitable contributions with a simple, powerful, and highly personalized approach. She also serves on the Board of Associates for Muhlenberg College and on the President’s Advisory Council at Cedar Crest College. Jenn is a Cabinet Member of the Tocqueville Society of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley and is on the executive board of the Minsi Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
This year, Jenn is focused on impactful, in-person events. She is the Chair of DeSales University 2022 Golf outing, which raises money for student financial aid and scholarships. She is also a Member of the LifePath 25th Anniversary Annual Fundraiser, which serves adults with physical and developmental disabilities in 88 locations across the region.
Previously, Jenn served on the board for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency and as chairwoman of the Finance Committee for the Team Pennsylvania Foundation, an organization that helps bridge the gap between the private sector and government to help businesses expand and create jobs. She also acted as a government liaison for the Program for Women and Families, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence.
A lifelong resident of Allentown, Jennifer earned degrees in government and economics from Lehigh University.
